“I was Built by Bomford & Evershed Ltd around 1910. In years gone by, wherever a large road repair was being carried out, I would have been a common sight. I'm not luxurious but I am quite cosy. I was kept warm by the cooking range, which stayed alight even in summer. When people had no further use for living vans, we were towed back to our depot yards and quietly forgotten or used for other purposes. I was lucky.
