Good morning! Happy #haikusaturday Today I share a #senyru. The photo is not of Caseiopia. It was actually taken by me a couple years ago in the Galapagos Islands.

This is a close-up of a sketchbook piece to go with a haiku.

You are so kind. That rock has caught my eye several days in a row. We don't have Tortoises here, but we do have turtles in the river.

Lovely. They are a joy to watch.

I got such a kick out of watching this one breathe.

Hidden insects singing
Dappled sunlight expanding
cool breeze, leaves falling

Quiet Tortoise sits
Still and silent day-by-day
It's a rock, silly.

Cabbage moths flutter
tiny white leaves whisked by wind
Hungry for nectar.

Lots of rocks in various sizes. One is shaped like a heart.

A very good reason to prioritize it. I have found that time in nature is my well. I just drove 1.74 hours to go to a beach.

I have come to realize that we have to make choices on where our priorities go. And sometimes, even things that we love take a back burner for a while. I tend to read more in the winter and I'm learning to be content with that.

Follow your rhythm. No guilt of shame.

I have been struggling with this, too. Bedtime reading used to work for me, but these days, it doesn't matter how good the book is, I fall asleep too quickly. In the mornings, I only get a little time for me and I want to journal, to spend a little time meditating and planning my day.

I'm shocked. Not one reference to "It's 5 o'clock somewhere." That's cocktail hour, thus evening. I beleive that's what Jimmy Buffet would have said.

That's so sweet! Bringing joy to the world in little ways is fun.

With #aphantasia, I have to work to hold the memory of an encounter inside of me. This painting and #haiku is that #memory. I find the less afraid I am of losing it, the more it stays with me and allows me to express it through my art. #micropoetry #sketchbook

We have a a couple female hummingbirds coming to our feeders. This morning one arrived just as I was changing out her food. She didn't back off and paused inches from the feeder in my hand.

So fun and musical!

I love both of them! That li e a whisker from fall, tickles.

I love it. And I love snap dragons. Such a glorious bounty of colors amongst lovely words.

Yikes. That's frustrating.

We finally got a magnet that shows clean or dirty. Not 100% fool-proof, but mostly.

Amazing. I'm sure it was both scary and exhilarating.
