The guys an idiot. He even admitted his guilt when he said โ€œwouldnโ€™t be going to heavenโ€. Make no mistake, thereโ€™s one thing on his tiny mind, the Epstein files. Everything else is a distraction, a performance or a manoeuvre to enrich his family. Probably because he knows times running out.

Johnson politicising Kirkโ€™s death with effusive language. Contrast to his response to the Hortman assassinations in Juneโ€ฆ..Heโ€™s a pig.

I makes sense theyโ€™d do this once Newcastle have signed Woltmade. Theyโ€™ll want to celebrate a new striker without any distractions.

I thought he was on the market for 40-50? Heโ€™s got enormous potential but 70m would be taking the piss.

Great player. Amazed heโ€™s not moved already. Bayern were interested but probably donโ€™t have the cash. Different to what you have but a real player.

Iโ€™m surprised at #isak continued determination to leave Newcastle, he must be under so much pressure. Somethingโ€™s really gone wrong there. I guess we may find out once this is all resolved #redsky #LFC

Agree, Iโ€™ve seen loads of game analysis none focussed on that. I thought their game approach was dreadful and definitely contributed to their injuries and sending off. Tone was set with the โ€˜into theseโ€™. Theyโ€™re better footballers than that, Howe got it wrong.

Well done for that.

Didnโ€™t mean it to come across like that, so apols. Anyway, up the reds.

Like last week and many times before? Itโ€™s what Liverpool do. Youโ€™ll get there.

Of course you donโ€™t aim to give away a two goal lead! There were some poor performances, bad decisions but they won away at Newcastle. Itโ€™s the second game of the season. With new players.

Weโ€™re quite happy, not embarrassed in the slightest. Iโ€™m glad I donโ€™t have to watch that agricultural lump ball every week. Dreadful.

That wasnโ€™t football from Newcastle, it was thuggery. Right result, the football team playing football with three very good goals.

Lots for the Reds to do to be happy with the squad, still more needed upfront and in defence. But surviving that ridiculous assault from Newcastle bodes well for the champions. #LFC

I donโ€™t know the ins and outs. As observers on the Isak thing (and i wish weโ€™d have walked away last month) is heโ€™s on his own, managing everything. No DOF strategy, no support. So, like I say, Iโ€™d be more concerned about loosing the one stable element of the management. Heโ€™ll be coverted.

25.08.2025 16:56 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Donโ€™t disagree. My point was the risk of loosing Howe due to the mismanagement of the club owners would be more of a concern to me than loosing Isak.

25.08.2025 16:43 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Man U? Arsenal etc. When the inevitable time comes for the management merry go round, heโ€™s well placed to take on a new challenge. Heโ€™s shown himself to be a good manager at Bournemouth and now at NUFC operating under a very difficult ownership.

25.08.2025 16:35 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

No to be honest. Iโ€™ve seen idiots trolling but usual sensible Geordies who love their team have gone completely overboard. This has nothing to do with LFC and all to do with how Newcastleโ€™s been managed at the top. Your biggest concern should be loosing Howe not Isak.

25.08.2025 14:47 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Expect a tough game tonight. If the reds can keep it calm and simple theyโ€™ll be ok. Glad this transfer windowโ€™s coming to a close. The vitriol from the usually friendly Geordies is doing no one any good, not least themselves. Lets then focus on retaining the title. Isak or not #NUFC v #LFC

I was sat in the lower Kenny, near the Kop and I could see the trajectory of the ball change. Madness.

I didnโ€™t say that? I remarked on the composition of the team that won the European cup in 1977. I think youโ€™re being disingenuous by referring to a period in time with absolutely no context or appreciation of Bill Shanklys management who bought Ian St John and Ron Yeats from Scotland.

12.08.2025 17:55 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I get it, gone through the highs and lows of football but theyโ€™ve seriously overstated their position, simply because theyโ€™re bank rolled. Their gripe is that they canโ€™t buy their way to a position earned by the likes of Liverpool and United and bought by City and Chelsea.

12.08.2025 17:47 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 5    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

In 1977, when Liverpool won their first European cup, the squad included Smith, Heighway, Thompson, Callaghan, McDermott. Scousers. Hughes from Barrow, Clemence and Keegan from Scunthorpe, Neal from Northampton. On which a dynasty was built. Good management and fortune. Not sugar daddy dough.

I wonder if LFC efforts on Guehi and Leoni is a dangerous play. Of course itโ€™s speculation, but to spend a % of your budget (re PSR) before a prospective outlay of over 120m leaves little room for manoeuvre in negotiations. Unless they already know the price or know the sellers hand.

12.08.2025 15:32 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Agree. And there should be concern for any prospective buyer. The behaviour doesnโ€™t make sense based on information publicly available.

12.08.2025 08:01 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Fully agree. I think the way heโ€™s gone about this is unacceptable and if LFC had concerns they should walk away. My point is the reporting on this has been so partisan that Iโ€™m open minded about the situation and the solution. Weโ€™ve heard nothing from Isak.

12.08.2025 07:59 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Thereโ€™s clearly more to this story. For good reason, weโ€™ve heard nothing directly from Isak other than whatโ€™s reported. Suspect once this is all over, we may hear more. Maybe along the lines of what Anthony Gordon went through. NUFC is clearly a mess.

12.08.2025 07:46 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Luis Diaz was always going to depart as he wanted a better contract, due to his age never offer. Also Nunez was about what we could get and of course then we lost our Diogo. Chiesa likely off and Mo off to Af Con. We needed more than one adaptable forward. Wirtz and Ekitike two of maybe 3 or 4

11.08.2025 16:44 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Had he been more confident of the impact heโ€™d make, he could have shaped the contract accordingly. Options being increased incremental salary, move to another club all based on reaching targets etc. But agree his bargaining position was not as strong then as it now is. So heโ€™s stuck. Agent fail.

They are unless youโ€™re part of the club with verified access. In which case I defer. I only try to debate points where the facts are indisputable. Re Ekitike, if any professor club in world football wasnโ€™t aware of his situation they shouldnโ€™t be in the business.
