An essential difference between the Left and the Right is that the Right votes for what they think will benefit them individually whereas the Left votes for what they think will benefit the most collectively.

That's not to say one is of a greater/lesser moral standing than the other, necessarily.

The Right wants to compress the normal distribution curve each end in towards the middle.
