The Dewey Bridge was built in 1916, it was the first connection over the Colorado River in Utah. It was the longest suspension bridge in the state. In 2000 it was restored. In 2008 it burned down. In 2025 this is all that's left. A ghost of a legend.

I'm a lifelong Sox fan. My dad was a lifelong Yankees fan. For games 4-6 he recorded them on a tape so I could watch them after school with him. Game 7 and the World Series I got to stay up with him to watch. He hated the Sox but watched for my sake, I'll always cherish those memories.

I was blown away with how much detail was still in the shadows.

I think the rust color is more from my white balance and trying to pull detail out of the original photo. The sun was behind the mountain so the shot was pretty silhouetted.

I spotted this black-headed grosbeak on my morning hike today. Beautiful bird with a really great song.

My grandfather passed away last week. After his passing I took a walk near his house in Texas. While there I came across a cardinal by itself and a male and female pair. I choose to believe that these were my grandparents and my father checking in on me.
