Jays fan, bit of Leafs/Raptors, too. Generous with the ❤️ button because I rarely have anything to add. Trying to come to terms with the fact that I probably visited my American relatives for the last time and didn't know it.

Again, it sure is a coincidence that young people stopped watching TV right as tech dipshits took over all the programming

I will simply never recover from reading this sentence:

"Since Georgia implemented work requirements in 2020, they have spent twice as much on Deloitte consultants and administrative costs as on healthcare for people."

The risk to North American auto manufacturing is North America's auto manufacturers not keeping up with what global consumers want.

You've had tens of billions of dollars in subsidies and supports shovelled at you. Compete or die.

Antifa staff and paid protesters, remember to submit your timesheet by EOD Tuesday.

Doris is going to be out of office starting Wednesday. She will be giving her speech on “Making Anarchists Feel Seen in Modern Resistance Organizations” at WokeHR in Las Vegas. So get those timesheets in by Tuesday.

How Far Did Rocky Go in His Training Run in 'Rocky II'? Rocky wasn't just a boxer. He was a marathoner.

I know I’m a homer but this was the most quintessentially McQuade story. Perfect idea, perfect execution. Dan was the only person on Earth who could’ve written this.

I'm looking for other stuff but came across this 15ish year old photo of a bar in Qawra, Malta that was called Blue Jay, complete with logo. It's gone now but surely a Maltese that lived in Canada for a spell, went back home and opened this.

Why does nobody ever get held in criminal contempt when they violate court orders in perpetuity?

Like what even is the point of court orders if there are no consequences for non-compliance?

Hilariously, a coyote walked behind a San Francisco reporter as she was doing a segment on the mountain lion. 🤣

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Beware of any Christian movement that demands the government be an instrument of God's wrath but never a source of God's charity, mercy, or compassion.

Every social theory undergirding Trumpism has been broken on the steel of Minnesotan resolve. The multiracial community in Minneapolis was supposed to shatter. It did not. It held until Bovino was forced out of the Twin Cities with his long coat between his legs.

The secret fear of the morally depraved is that virtue is actually common, and that they’re the ones who are alone. In Minnesota, all of the ideological cornerstones of MAGA have been proved false at once. Minnesotans, not the armed thugs of ICE and the Border Patrol, are brave. Minnesotans have shown that their community is socially cohesive—because of its diversity and not in spite of it. Minnesotans have found and loved one another in a world atomized by social media, where empty men have tried to fill their lonely soul with lies about their own inherent superiority. Minnesotans have preserved everything worthwhile about “Western civilization,” while armed brutes try to tear it down by force.

Last week in Minnesota, I watched ordinary people risk their lives to protect their neighbors. In the process, they not only won a significant—though not final—victory against authoritarianism, they proved virtually every MAGA social theory wrong. (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Ms. Omar, visibly shaken after the assault, insisted to her staff and security that she would continue. She asked for a napkin and told them: "Just give me 10 minutes. I beg you. Please don't let them have the show."
Ms. Omar then turned the crowd. "Here's the reality that people like this ugly man don't understand," she said. "We are Minnesota strong, and we will stay resilient in the face of whatever they might throw at us."
Someone in the crowd later thanked Ms.
Omar for staying and continuing after the assault, which had shaken not only her but the entire room.
"I learned at a young age you don't give in to threats," Ms. Omar said.

After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.
