Something has to give if this signing happens.

21.07.2025 20:18 — 👍 11 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0The Sacramento Kings have advanced to the NBA Summer League Championship, where they’ll play the winner of OKC/Hornets on Sunday night at 7 pm PT.
Sacramento is looking to become the first team to secure three NBA Summer League titles.
Nique Clifford's ability to self-create has really been impressive in Summer League, but he's also finding his open teammates as well.
He's up to 12 points and 6 assists (0 turnovers) over 22 minutes today.
Kings' 24th overall pick Nique Clifford through three Summer League games:
18.3 PTS
6.3 REB
3.7 AST
2.0 STL
60% FG
70% 3PT
25.6 MIN
Devin Carter made a statement tonight.
30 PTS
8 REB
3 AST
3 STL
10/13 FG
3/4 3PT
29 MIN
Maxime Raynaud is once again the loudest player on the floor. He emphasized the importance of communication following Thursday's game, and he's been directing traffic tonight.
Have to wonder how loud it will be to hear him and Domantas Sabonis on the floor at the same time.
Sacramento led by 18 points after the first, but Chicago outscored them by 14 points in the second quarter to make this a four-point ballgame at the break.
Carter: 21 PTS | 4/5 3PT | 3 STL
Raynaud: 9 PTS | 2 REB
Clifford: 6 PTS | 6 REB | 4 AST
Devin Carter on Thursday:
8 PTS | 2/14 FG | 0/4 3PT
Devin Carter in the 1Q tonight:
13 PTS | 4/4 FG | 3/3 3PT
Quick start for Devin Carter, who is letting it fly early from the perimeter and is active on the defensive end.
8 PTS | 2 REB | 2 STL | 3/3 FG | 2/2 3PT | 4 MIN
“It’s on me. I have to come out from the jump and be better."
Nique Clifford overcame a slow start and took over late, while Maxime Raynaud set the tone early in the first showing of the summer for Sacramento: sactownsports.com/56870/sacram...
Kings win their Summer League opener.
Maxime Raynaud was impressive. Touch around the basket and ability to space the floor will be fun to watch.
Nique Clifford shook off a rough start to finish with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.
Reigning NBA G League Finals MVP Mason Jones has picked up where he left off. Doing a bit of everything.
14 PTS | 4 REB | 5 AST | 2 STL | 5/10 FG | 28 MIN
Back-to-back impressive dishes from Maxime Raynaud, followed by another score in the paint. Dominant start for the 42nd pick.
13 PTS | 2 REB | 2 AST | 5/5 FG | 1/1 3PT | 7 MIN
Maxime Raynaud has shown some physicality early, and it's already translated into second-chance and fast-break opportunities.
6 PTS | 2 REB | 1 STL | 3/3 FG | 3 MIN
Kings starters vs. Orlando:
Mason Jones
Devin Carter
Nique Clifford
Isaac Jones
Maxime Raynaud
Looking forward to getting out to NBA Summer League tomorrow ✈️
Here's what I'll be watching for as the Sacramento Kings begin play in Las Vegas:

"It's not the finish line. This is just the start." - Maxime Raynaud on achieving his NBA dream and being drafted by the Kings
03.07.2025 17:25 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Maxime Raynuad says that he crossed paths with Nique Clifford during the pre-draft process and that the two had a 45-minute conversation following a workout.
Now, the two are teammates in Sacramento.
Kings GM Scott Perry confirms both Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud will play in Las Vegas Summer League.
03.07.2025 17:08 — 👍 8 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0"He can play multiple positions... We really believe he'll be able to matchup anywhere on the perimeter from a defensive standpoint." - Kings GM on Nique Clifford
03.07.2025 17:07 — 👍 7 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Jonathan Kuminga comes with risk, but IMO, he fits the bill of the type of player Sacramento should be taking a chance on.
Only 22. Athletic. 6’8 forward.
The shot needs work, and I wonder what a potential contract would look like, but a swing worth taking for the Kings.
One thing about Dennis Schroder is that he’s been available night in and night out during his career.
He’s appeared in 60+ games in 11 of his 12 NBA seasons, including 75+ in 6 seasons.
On-court results matter most, but the Kings appear to have found stability at PG.
Two thoughts on the Jonas Valanciunas trade:
1. Sacramento is creating cap flexibility for something... but what?
2. This speaks to how high they must be on Maxime Raynaud, unless a backup big is on the way.
What is Scott Perry cooking?
Losing Jake LaRavia definitely stings for Sacramento. Seemed like he enjoyed his time here and playing for Doug Christie.
The Kings' need for a backup forward grows. Trey Lyles is also a free agent.
Here's how the Sacramento Kings roster looks on the eve of free agency:
Keon Ellis
Zach LaVine
DeMar DeRozan
Keegan Murray
Domantas Sabonis
Malik Monk
Devin Carter
Jonas Valanciunas
Terence Davis
Isaac Jones
Nique Clifford
Maxime Raynaud
TW: Dylan Cardwell
3 open roster spots
2 open 2-way spots
Extending Keon Ellis feels like the right move for several reasons, but this is also a new Kings front office entering its first offseason of work without any attachments to players on the roster.
Still, have to hope this doesn't sting down the line in Kangz fashion.
New Kings center Maxime Raynaud on NBA mock drafts:
NBC: 22nd
Yahoo!: 24th
ESPN: 28th
Bleacher Report: 28th
Tankathon: 28th
HoopsHype: 29th
USA Today: 29th
CBS: 30th
Sacramento gets him at 42nd.
Sacramento has another log-jam of guards--but this offseason, it's at the SG spot.
Zach LaVine
Malik Monk
Keon Ellis
Terence Davis
Nique Clifford
You can make the argument that Devin Carter is better suited off-ball, as well.
