Mabel had knee surgery 8 weeks ago for a torn ligament. She had been confined to doggie jail since and it’s been rough on her. No jumping, no playing. Well she has now been released from doggie jail with a clean bill of health. So we can now let up on the sofa for cuddles. She’s so happy!

Get it totally. It takes time to get over that sweet bundle. I lasted a year and admit I was the driver for adopting again. I missed Tex so much. Mabel is the polar opposite of Tex but she had so many issues that we realized if it wasn’t us, she didn’t stand a chance. Plus her goofy grin.

This is Tex. He was our first rescue. Tex was a wonderful pup but, later, developed leukemia. He was one of a kind. The other is Mabel. She’s our newest rescue. She is not Tex but a unique bundle. She has her own health issues but her love shines as bright as Tex’s. When you are ready, love waits.

Know what’s better than family and pup? Nuttin!!

We did what we had to do so that each got some sleep. Especially during those sick periods. Poor lil guy had ear infections and we’d stay up the night with him crashed on a shoulder because he could lay down. 😔

My wife got addicted to 1923. I left the room half the time because of the blatant greed and privilege. Yeah, I think The Guilded Age would put me right over the edge 🤭
