Im not shaking my fist at clouds. I think the breadth, depth, and vision of comics today are so much richer and more surprising.

But I wish this was still a part of that tapestry

This post about an old issue of Batman (#222) made me realize comics lost - in an era of constantly rebooted titles need to be "Important!" - random, silly, or just interestingly self-contained single-issue stories - which is so much of what used to be 'Comics!'

Oh the irony of comics retailers telling a customer that they don't carry the series the customer was looking for because it "doesn't sell"

This is an actual exchange from a VP who took an oath to defend the constitution and, as a citizen, is expected to abide by the law.

May we one day have accountability for the grotesque lawlessness of this regime.

This is why, if you're wanting to do comics, it's far more important to practice drawing comics than it is to practice drawing. The drawing comes with time and you get the time by getting opportunities to make comics, you get those opportunities by demonstrating storytelling.
