So many industries are more lucrative than comics that Im convinced there arent enough genuinely smart business people whose passion for comics overpowers the money the money elsewhere.

Yes, lots of actors and writers (probably even 'most') are very socially / emotionally liberal - because success in their art depends on actually trying to understand experiences and perspectives of people different from them.

But their beliefs don't dictate what shows & movies get made.
