a bit of work today. its tough putting together more than a few minutes at a time, so i am working with what i have and paying attention

its Monday and I am a bit sleepy. a good weekend at Kennett Square amd now time to get to teaching at the prison. the passafloras are still cranking out these incredibly nutty blooms. slow and patient. thems the words of the day

all packed almost all pretty much so far at least for now to set up @kennettartsfestival who i know have awesome coffee because morning is early on the weekends

its fun to have a successful moment (whatever success means) the urge to duplicate the experience cannot be accomplished, or I haven't yet at least. each moment is a gift. to revisit a work means finding a new path through the woods.

it's odd, amd somewhat new, to feel compelled to revisit older works. Maybe not this one, but in others tracing time through process.
Off to the state prison to teach a class this morning and then packing up for @kennettartsfestival Saturday and Sunday where i hope there will be lots of babies and.

a detail of a much larger work. oil on panel. oh to paint daily. the teaching load is heavy these months, and time to breathe in is also valuable. otherwise the exhale begins to smell like dog breath. so now it's rest and read and draw little things in the sketchbook like sundries and notions and...
