this is really good actually
one half is the "big sound" that's prevalent in their post-reunion work, other half is bluesy and resembles "people like us" from TGM.
very underrated !!

also the bassist sings on a couple songs too
idfk what they're singing about but it sound s fnuuy...

a LOT of psychedelic elements here
extremely influential
very much a product of its time, you might not like it
i myself don't really get their other acclaimed albums

probably the best drone album ever made
the concept of winter, converted into music
there are some cozy folk interludes sprinkled in, but this is mostly just sprawling drone soundscapes

one of the best hiphop albums i ever listened to
vulgar lyrics that seem to be telling a story but are mostly incoherent
the instrumentals are insane. they're so fucking good,.
also IDM interludes can you believe it!!!!

the second most immense album i've ever heard!!
walls of droning multi instrumental noise, with pounding tribal rhythmic sections in between
and a couple bluesy interludes too
i still like tbk more though :3

less hypnotic krautrock with heavy funk influences
very groovy rhythms by the drummer, interesting vocals by damo suzuki
mostly normal but soup is batshit insane
it really is a soup of sound
VERY ahead of its time!!

samples here blend in like they were recorded for this album specifically

a 6 hour long free folk/drone album
i was pulling an all nighter listening to this and i think i have an ancient disease now
this is a fucking terrifying album. don't repeat my mistakes.

a lush and peaceful indie folk/rock album split up into three acts!!
