Three panel comic. Panel 1: a giant squid wearing a yellow Bart t-shirt and some terrible hypebeast shorts is looking in the mirror. It says, “need groceries… but all my clothes are in the laundry.” Panel 2: the squid, now also wearing hot pink crocs, exits its apartment and says, “eh. I won’t see anyone.” Panel 3: two fisherman are pulling the squid to the surface of the water and pointing at it. An overlayed news caption reads: RARE SQUID SIGHTED - the fit was crazy

Pixar’s Pete Docter Says Queer ‘Elio’ Storyline Was Axed Because “We’re Making A Movie, Not Hundreds Of Millions Of Dollars Of Therapy” Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter explained the animation company's decision to ax a queer storyline in last year's Elio.

Am I surprised that a man who was able to thrive at a company where women weren't allowed in the same room as the boss, because he'd grope them, appears to have no ethical backbone? Not even a little.

Someone smarter than me can explain it better but the internet in its heyday acted like a replacement for dead or dying third spaces, never perfect, a band aid for sure, but an affective one

And then it also got colonized and obliterated by greed

i guess i balk at the idea that you’re only allowed to make art about your suffering after you’re “all better” or else it’s unethical. far more people than you think will never be fully “cured” and no one ever talks about that so it’s kind of refreshing to see someone be so honest about it.

The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive

The rise of rejection sensitive dysphoria: ‘My chest feels like it’s collapsing’ It makes rejection, teasing or criticism feel unbearable, often prompting a strong physical reaction. Sufferers describe life with a condition that is only just starting to be understood

Pleasantly surprised this morning to find an accurate discussion of RSD in a major newspaper! 🙌 #ADHD
(Although I'd prefer it wasn't titled a 'rise' lol, it's always been here).

A man wearing a baby bonnet gestures to a smiling woman and says "She's a magician I got drunk with and now she's gonna join our law firm." A swole teenage girl wearing a "Corn" shirt and a blindfold that says "Underage" on it replying with "Sure" sitting next to an old man nodding and saying "Yeah, makes sense" while eating pancakes at a male strip club

Just in case you were wondering what the fuck a Strip Law is this is basically the plot

Photo of a tv showing the opening of Strip Law. A caption under the title says “Proudly made by real, non-computer human beings”

Strip Law is out! Very grateful to have contributed early design work for what’s probably the most insane cartoon ever made. Will be sharing drawings on here soon.

This shot from the opening sequence is your seal of quality.

7 color screen print for Wong Kar-Wai's IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE

Su (Maggie Cheung) and Chow (Tony Leung) passing each other by at a door frame, casting a glance at each other. Su is returning to her husband, who is smoking inside the room and playing mahjong. Chow is following his wife, who has left the room.

7 color screen print for one of my most favorite films, Wong Kar-Wai's IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE 🧡

Thank you to Lawrence, Jessica and the group that funded this project, eternally grateful for your kindness and patience for this poster.

I will have some APs on sale next week!

Review for Strip Law in the Sunday Times newspaper:
"Ever since the final season of Bojack Horseman in 2020, Netflix has been desperate for another big-hitting adult animated comedy. This new ten-part series from Cullen Crawford (Star Trek: Lower Decks) may be it.
Severance's Adam Scott voices the Las Vegas lawyer Lincoln Gumb, fired from his late mother's firm for being too damn boring and attempting a comeback with the help of the street magician Sheila Flambé (Abbot Elementary's Janelle James). The result is surreal, fast-paced and packed with some of the most gloriously idiotic sight gags in animation (and possibly legal) history."

drawing of me walking past a valentines day display in a shop, pretending not to see it I'm screaming "GET AWAY FROM ME" while being smothered by a swarm of love hearts.

There's one thing I love this week and it's staring at the floor while I'm grocery shopping. The floor is fascinating.
