Not to put too fine of a point on it, the man who designed Vac Woman (design K) was outted as a rapist and overall vile person about 10 years ago, yet he somehow managed to come out of it relatively unscathed as a successful artist.

To be honest, I probably would've gone with "Vava is the name the humans gave me," or something along those lines. I know the X series has a history of fictional robo-racism (that we never actually see in the games) but it seems a bit tone-deaf to outright equate it with a real-life issue like this.

I know it seriously pissed off a friend of mine cause that was when they stopped making Link left-handed.

It had an excuse at first, but it continued even after they stopped using motion controls.
