This is the 3rd go at this pattern. At least I can say I learned something from the two failed attempts.

I made it a little over a mile today for my morning hike — the furthest I have been able to go since my surgery a few months ago. It was a gloomy morning but the light reflected on the beech tree’s leaves giving the forest a magical glow.

After failing to work needlepoint from a chart I am testing out painting the canvas myself. Thankfully the paints and brushes I have for ttrpg minis work perfectly.

Working out big feelings with needle and thread. When I can, I help remove invasive plants from a local park. I feel kinship with the trees being torn down by the weight of something that is not supposed to be there as my body often feels like it is slowly being torn apart.

It felt good to get back in the DM's chair after a 3-month hiatus from the DnD club. Middle schoolers being middle schoolers, I was told not to have any more life-threatening health events during the school year. Thanks, kids.

Distracting myself from several high pain days in a row by stitching. I finished my Pegasus biscornu but don’t have the energy to assemble it. So I picked up a half finished kit I started months ago that I have been using like a sampler.

Finished listening to Parable of the Sower while doing the outline stitching on Pegasus number 3. That was a hard listen but a good reminder on ways to build community.
