An important fact:

“Between 75% and 90% of home based care at the end of life is provided by unpaid carers, often family members.”

And when that’s 24 hours around the clock, that’s really hard, especially when it’s just one or two people trying to do it.

I welcome the Palliative Care Commission, with some fabulous commissioners. But where is the nursing voice? Of 21 commissioners why 10 medical doctors and only 1 person with a nursing background? #hpm #hapc #nursing @alisonleary1.bsky.social palliativecarecommission.uk/commissioners
