As a pedestrian, I have had a few close calls with mountain bike dudes who were driving their pickup truck and had their enduro bike in the back. Probably driving up to a resort and using the lift. Nothing wrong with that, it's fun, but it probably means they never ride bikes on a road with cars
Absolutely. The first is basically to survive when conditions aren't good. The latter will likely result in other people not surviving
People in the bike advocacy space have read his work. More recently, they have done so to debunk it. @thewaroncars.bsky.social did a great 2-episode series on his work. Highly recommended
Do people in the UK read John Forester and his very damaging work on vehicular cycling? He was born in England, but much of his "research" and advocacy was done in the US
People who mostly use a bike for recreation are not always allies in the fight for safe streets
“Avid cyclists” are often also “vehicular cyclists” who don’t want bike infrastructure. And some, I suppose, are good people
Several ski resorts in the West might have to close operations next week, at least temporarily.

Isaac Del Toro didn't forget Carapaz for the Colle delle Finestre stage at last year's Giro d'Italia
Almost as good as Ian Christen last year at San Sebastián when Del Toro was ahead

According to the City of Los Angeles' elected officials,
Homes for Cars >>> Homes for People
Yeah this is SLC. Alpine not possible yet, covered in snow

This is a planned unit development. Each rectangle on the map is the exact size of the lot of each townhome
If you look at the parcel map on the SLCo Assessor website, a condo looks like this
Do you know if it’s a planned unit development (where you own the lot too) or a condo?
A friend who's a realtor reached out to say something along these lines: Most starter homes in Utah are now condos and townhomes (cheaper), and FHA loans are common for first-time homebuyers. But it can be difficult or impossible to get FHA loans approved for those homes. Any takes?
Can Salt Lake finally have a Biergarten near a park? What are we, in the 21st century?
More than half of the good GC riders crashed out
Where's the biggest wealth inequality gap in the United States? Not in a big city. It's in a resort town.
