Haters fear that Matt is illustrating hands again

Yeah, I've had a long time feeling (since '19) that we are far too hesitant to give domestic based players a proper chance. Especially when they are younger.

At the moment it seems like if an SWPL based player doesn't play well on debut they are almost discarded to the U-23s.

(by the way this isn't even me saying I think Notley has been snubbed, she's just the example I had to hand. You could substitute her with McAneny, Shore, McLeary, Cruft (if she's eligible), Anderson, even someone like Ashley Robertson and I'd feel the same)

Andreatta says and does a lot of the right things re: the SWPL (ie. going to games regularly) but what is the point of performing in our domestic league if it isn't rewarded?

Miri Taylor this season: 247 league minutes (2.7 90s), 78% pass accuracy (10.8 per game), 3 interceptions, 0 key passes, 0 assists, 1 goal.

Ellis Notley *in her last 3 games*: 80% pass accuracy (27.3 per game), 7 interceptions, 9 key passes, 4 assists, 2 goals.

Those I've spoken to have all been very pro- the change (although I'm a little perplexed personally at doing a league restructure because there's "too many games" then introducing a league cup change to increase the number of games & make the season start in July)

Oh definitely not suggesting the result would have gone another way but it is a shocking decision.

Don't know about you but I was really disappointed by some of these cup performances. If Spartans can score against Celtic and only concede 3 there's not much excuse for Montrose/Motherwell/Livi

Something v different from us this week ✍️

This is obviously a promo image that wasn't taken by the club themselves but it isn't *that* hard to kit swap (especially to just plain black)

So not the point but it really annoys me that expansion teams use imagery including their rivals' kits

(I have wider thoughts about how managers in WoSo often "ah resources/recruitment" their way out of criticism but that's a wider thing and Celtic fans definitely *are* criticising her management of the team)

It's easy to attribute it to the general ill feeling with the Celtic board amongst the fans but at some point there's got to be an acceptance that other managers are working with more restrictions than her and not having those problems.

Elena Sadiku after the game yesterday saying she needs more signings in attack with Noonan absent.

Celtic have a 25 player squad and the back up striker at all of her title rivals is an academy graduate. Hibs (Morrison), Glasgow City (Forrest), and Rangers (Berry)...

That is a ridiculous header from Kundananji, getting that power and directing it across the keeper to leave her flat footed (not to mention the timing of the run). Unbelievable.

All the transfers I know about have been announced, there's one I suspect has happened but it's SWPL and a 19 year old retired the other year so 🤷

So excited for Herron and Fitzgerald. Wouldn't be surprised if both force themselves into the starting eleven by the end of the season.
