No, I'm not a fan of the "mad queen" shit. Its just if she gets the throne and continues to be a great benevolent ruler than this story would go against "absolute power corrupts absolutely" principle and I think Martin is more sophisticated than that with how he portraits the ruling class.
I'm reading asoiaf and while I appreciate Martin subverting the tropes with Dany becoming "the chosen one" herself instead of just being a mother to one, I just can't imagine her being on the iron throne a happy ending.
