The image shows the archaeological site of ancient Olympia in Greece. Olympia is located on the Peloponnese peninsula and is known as the birthplace of the Olympic Games. The site was an important Panhellenic religious sanctuary dedicated to the god Zeus. The ruins in the picture belong to the Temple of Zeus, one of the most important buildings at the ancient site. Ancient Olympia has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1989.
