A cheesecake in a springform pan on a white countertop without a single crack in it because I am a wizard.

Thank you! He woke up to many presents, we’re going out to his new favorite restaurant for dinner tonight, and I made another perfect cheesecake that is chilling in the fridge for dessert.

AFP: UN special rapporteur says the world has entered a "new dark age of abuses in the name of countering terrorism", with the United States "raining death" on Iran and Venezuela.

This is correct, imo. A Democratic administration successfully broke students' will to protest. They won nothing and faced massive consequences. NO ONE stood up for their free speech rights among mainstream pundits.

Now they're to blame for the Biden administration's success at repressing them? No.

Having trouble thinking of another combination of emotions that makes me feel as physically ill as experiencing rage and sadness at the same time. I am so tired of screaming that civilians are never legitimate targets. That places of worship, schools, and hospitals are always off limits. Enough!

Another gut wrenching day in this country. Will we ever learn we can’t slaughter our way to safety? That adding to the suffering of the world will never lessen it? Or is the only way off this carousel of violence our own extinction?

Two out of three times the democrats loaded the “vote for us or the country gets Trump” gun, they failed to defeat him. Maybe it’s time to try believing in something other than their own entitlement to power? Idk.

Expelling, imprisoning, and deporting students for speech didn’t chill speech, the speech was insincere certainly is a take.

“The inability of existing international legal institutions to hold the United States accountable for its crimes against the people resisting US violence, is not an abstract failure of law; it is the expression of international law's entanglement with imperial and colonial power. +

Up to 3.2 million Iranians and 800,000 Lebanese have been displaced from their homes by the Trump-Netanyahu war. That’s the equivalent of emptying the entire cities of Houston and Philadelphia.

I’ve been asked to run for office a number of times and I’ve always said no. But a librarian has asked me to run for library trustee and, well, I’m gonna do it.

II. No public school, school district, or public employee acting in an official capacity shall engage in the pedagogy, praxis, or inculcation of critical theories or related practices that promote division, dialectical world-views, critical consciousness, or anti-constitutional indoctrination. This includes, but is not limited to:
(a) Teaching or advocating that American societal structures, including the U.S. Constitution or legal system, are inherently illegitimate or designed to perpetuate oppression based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or other identity categories.
(b) Compelling students to adopt "critical consciousness" by requiring them to identify personal or societal "oppressors" and "oppressed" through lenses derived from Marxist analysis, intersectionality, or critical race theory.
(c) Implementing culturally relevant or responsive pedagogy that prioritizes identity-based division over individual merit or shared American values.
(d) Inculcating LGBTQ+ ideology, such as requiring affirmation of "gender fluidity," "non- binary" or "queer" identities, or requiring affirmation of LGBTQ+ sexuality as ethical or normative.
(e) Using dialectical analysis to frame history or current events primarily as class, racial, or identity-based conflicts intended to foster division rather than resolution.

The flip side of a long, cold, and snowy winter is that the sun feels surprisingly— gloriously!— warm on a 65° day!
