There can be no moral justification for willingly starving children to death.
The fact that people even try to justify it is horrible.

"I'm not partisan"
Well, that's a lie from Kevin. Everyone who has known him over the years know that's a blatant lie.
Nah, never let those fools be seen as reflecting anything on you.
02.08.2025 16:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Right!? They do it from afar because they are cowards. It's not even physical violence in response. It's just words.
Imagine being so "tough", that even a verbal response from a person they're trying to hurt is too much for their fragile egos to handle.
Finally I'll say, the resilient among us already realized long ago that the point is to break our spirit. We still have to push through and do our thing. My son knows this.
While I'm mature enough now to realize we can't all control how we react to it, we still know this is the right aspiration.
I believe in the process. I don't generally believe anything can be fixed overnight.
My boy will be fine. Throughout his life he's shown a strength of character I could only aspire to. He's also got parents and family to support him fully.
He'll face more racism sure, but he's ready.
Institutions don't change entrenched norms overnight. It takes people being aware and speaking up. It usually takes those not targeted by those norms to speak up. I think more people speak up today, even as those institutions themselves push back harder.
02.08.2025 14:46 β π 19 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1I still look at this with optimism. The racism my older family members experienced far surpasses anything I've experienced. And so far, it seems similar for my son relative to me.
The 80% became the 60% became the 40% and so on.
Individual attitudes take time to shift at scale.
Racism, and particularly the institutional kind is horrible and frustrating.
That said, neither me nor my son would be where we are today without the love and support of many of the white folks we've had in our lives. From family to teachers to friends.
Racists don't speak for them. π§΅
We definitely won't let those silly people tarnish all the good people he's met and grown with. The white folks that have helped to raise and teach him here are wonderful people and would be even more angry at those fools trying to tear him down.

02.08.2025 14:25 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Absolutely. I'm sad for those guys that they didn't learn the right lessons growing up, and now find themselves in circles that rot their brains and feed their worst impulses.

I'm sure people wondered if I was justified in teaching him that this will probably happen at some point, and preparing him for it. The fact that he was able to push right by it makes me glad I did.
He's good. Fortunately he had been prepared. He blew it off, and we reinforced for him that it says nothing about him, but a lot about them.
02.08.2025 11:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Those racist idiots won't break my boy. He's amazing, and has a much brighter future than they wish.
This too will just make him stronger, and even more aware of what he still has to defeat in this world.
My 16 year old had his first incident of a group of white guys driving by calling him the n-word.
There are some milestones you hope your kids never hit, while having to prepare them how to handle it and how to continue moving forward.

So many diverse ways for us to create and score goals.
I honestly didn't see the shot at black women coming while reading that post.
But some people apparently can't even do sexism without feeling the need to sprinkle a little racism in it.
It's sad how little militaristic propaganda tactics have changed over the years, and how effective they continue to be.

And Israel could simply stop the genocide and the occupation are they are legally and morally required to do.
But whatever people need to tell themselves to deflect from the evils they endorse.
Even at just 15, Arsenal's Max Dowman looks like an amazing talent. It was amazing to see the lad embarrassing Newcastle players like that, right after doing the same to AC Milan.
Arsenal's Hale End Academy continues to produce gems.
A genocide has never been so televised, and yet so broadly defended by Western powers and institutions.

An old friend of mine became a cryptobro and a believer that traditional economic theories and systems are all scams.
It's surprisingly hard to debate with someone who believes they have access to secret truths and all your perceptions of reality and theory are wrong.
