Key recommendations include supporting local resilience hubs, strengthening the public health workforce, ensuring ethical data use, and investing in joint training for law enforcement and public health professionals.

The submission highlights the importance of cross-sector collaboration between law enforcement, public health systems, social services, and communities. It also responds to emerging security challenges such as climate change, misinformation, and widening social inequalities.

GLEPHA is pleased to collaborate with EUPHA on a joint contribution to the European Commission’s Internal Security Strategy. Together, we are advocating for an approach that centres public health, equity, and community resilience as essential components of security.
