Yes, Keir Starmer must do better and go faster in bringing Britain closer to Europe. Here’s how to reset his reset | Naomi Smith MPs warn the plan so far lacks direction and drive, but there are four clear ways to really move on from our disastrous Brexit, says Naomi Smith of Best for Britain

β€œFour ways to a better, happier, more successful You” - no, not a pre-beach diet, but some really good advice for the Labour gov’t.

Remind you of anyone?

The headline is misleading, Gorton, Hamilton and Caerphilly have suggested we absolutely can.

The article itself about FPTP having run it's time is fine, now is the time for change.

How? Just how do people read that headline and not instantly burst out in laughter at the ridiculousness of it?

Do people honestly walk amongst us who believe this?!

*Greens leapfrog Labour into second place*

RefUK 23% (-1)
GRN 21% (+4)
LAB 16%(-2)
CON 16%(-2)
LDEM 14%(nc),

Pollster note: This is the highest we've had the Greens, the first time we've had them in second

FindOutNow usually have REF pretty high, so this is encouraging!

Finally the increased exposure is starting to cut through (I think) and hurt their polling.

Yeah. REF were only ever going to get 10kish, so they were completely reliant on low turnout and/or a perfect LABGRE split.

Labour must stop channelling Reform and unite with progressives. That’s the lesson from Gorton and Denton | Sadiq Khan The threat to the party in some parts of our country is now existential. But we can progress, as we have in London, by being bold and strong in our core beliefs, says London mayor Sadiq Khan

"Trying to compete with Reform not only feels inauthentic... but a betrayal of what Labour is supposed to represent. We must address the concerns and fears of voters, not play on them."

Damning stuff from Sadiq Khan

Keir would do well to seek advice from Sadiq and act on it, considering he's been elected more than once as LDN mayor.....

I'm with you, until the last sentence.

City could well win the league this season. How many is that in the last 10?

Had BVB not fluffed it against Mainz a few years back, the Bundesliga would have 3 different winners in 3 years.

The issue is this fixture. Bayern are so dominant.

Possibly, but you can't use Burnham for every by election and seat.

Or to flip this back at Lucy P, you're admitting LAB got this wrong. Another mistake.

28.02.2026 20:36 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

and staying put will bear fruit?.....

How many losses to the GRE before the penny drops?

Better to act early than let the rot set in.

28.02.2026 20:33 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Not at all, I agree with you, but there were a LOT of people who claimed the GRE couldn't win, despite the bookies having them as strong favourites for weeks....

28.02.2026 20:08 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I really, really look forward to each and every middle finger the GRE can stick to the MSM and right wing nutjobs, and to a lesser extent, LAB.

No matter your dirty tricks, we can pull people together for a greater good.

28.02.2026 20:06 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Voters have waited, and decided that as of now, a lot don't like what they see.

I voted LAB in 2024, full of hope. They have done some good, but also been deeply disappointing in many ways.

Therefore given the straight choice of LAB and GRE, I'm going GRE.

28.02.2026 19:55 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That's a lot of people hahaha, both REF and LAB leaning.

28.02.2026 19:53 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Wes - who was seriously suggesting you should try and out reform Reform?

Wtf.

28.02.2026 17:20 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I can see the logic (I definitely don't agree with it however) that reducing immigration will defang REF in many ways.

The trouble is, you've hacked off most of your own voters in the first place.

Either way, this leaves an enormous gap in the market for Polanski! Happy days.

28.02.2026 16:20 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

This is far more problematic for REF and Farage than LAB parroting them.

Lowe knows he can agitate and out-populist Farage to his right, and a lot of their shared voter base will agree with Lowe.

Good news for those of us on the left!
