honestly, this is a very subjective question and it really depends on what you consider important on a metroidvania. there can be really no difference at all or be totally different, especially if you tie the metroidvania genre to stuff like "it must be a 2D platformer" (which some people do)

Just to have it on record, we had already been working on a 3D Metroidvania where you can use a motorcycle to travel quickly from one biome to another for… 3 or 4 years at this point? haha

(Hopefully we won't take as long as that other 3D Metroidvania with a bike... which I can't wait to play!)

Ao meu ver isso é bem coisa do musical e do filme mesmo. O livro é bem leve nisso, num ponto que chega até a ser meio anti-climático.

(Mais uma das várias diferenças do musical x livro que me fazem preferir o livro e sentir que o musical é uma versão meio corporativa demais dessa história)

olha, vou ficar BEM surpresa se for isso. no momento acho que essa trademark vai ser mais um spinoff estilo space squad mesmo pros fãs velhacos

aqueles rumores de uma série mais focada em fantasia, na linha do king ohger, parecem mais plausiveis pra ocupar o espaço do sentai e pegar um público novo

Mais no estilo de Zelda/Metroid mesmo, onde você encontra as habilidades explorando as áreas, e elas podem ser usadas tanto onde você encontrou quanto em locais que você já visitou anteriormente!

But I'm happy that the block puzzles are getting more varied and better integrated with the platforming, pacing and all

Honestly I found Decline Drops to be very original and creative! Especially the freedom you have with the movement, in a way that I don't really see much on 2D platformers! Keep up the good work, your games are also an inspiration for me :)
