Thanks, the sketch page of my characters felt like a better representation of myself then my sona, which I never really use.

Made a badge for my first con coming up next year. I'm really happy with how the sketch page turned out.

I never realized you were doing drawings as a way to try to start talking to people. You don't need to draw peoples OCs to get them to strike up a conversation with them, there are lots of artist in the community that admire your work and like your characters who would love to talk with you.

Happy to share, one thing to keep in mind is if you are doing this on a character instead of an object you have to convert the world space normal into a tangent space normal so it can handle moving around properly

I didn't have to do anything special with the uvs since I was using substance painter. The textures did need to be pretty high-res to support the brush strokes though

I just painted the normal map in substance with brush strokes. None of the lighting is baked in to the model except for some AO. So moving the lights doesn't cause any problems

I still can't believe you remade the rig in Maya and animated this before I could even finish an animation of him myself😅

You did a great job on this, I'm honored you liked my sculpt enough to want to animate him

I know what you mean, I've been wanting to do a larger scale group thing recently as well.
