Weird postscript, we are on holiday on the island of Fuerteventura. While out and about today, wearing my MH teeshirt, a lady with a Welsh accent came up to me and said "I just heard he died, he was my neighbour, lovely man. 64 is far too young!" Anyhoo here's Phil in action youtu.be/ezbJtmsFsdI?...
Another Dead Hero Day. Motorhead means the world to me. Their music and attitude give me the courage to face the darkness. This is the fifth MH tee I've had since 91. I put it on today. Flicked on farcebook, and saw long standing guitarist Phil Campbell had died. RIP Phil. 1/
Remember I get 25% of the treasure trove you found, otherwise I go to the Police and your cabin will end up being part of an exhibit in the British Musseum, which shows it. Wonder if they will get Madame Tussauds to make a waxwork of you?π€£
Those Romans got around alot. Forts near you at Castlefield (op Science Museum, featuring a sheep sculpture by my Grandad Ted π) and near me, just down the road in Saddleworth in a sheep field (these sheep are crucial to upholding Pax Britianica).
Do you get a free Viking Hat with that course? π€£
Set to the tune of Dead Kennedys' Nazi Punks Fuck off? π€£
That UK D&D University? UK Academia should take them to task for using the title "Professor". What research papers have they published this year? PhD students supervised? On a more positive note, it gives me a shove to sort a local con I have in mind, which is the exact opposite to this nonsenseπ

It took me ages to do the fiddly bits, like the fishes she is holding up. Family was getting right impatient, since they wanted to go jetski riding, or going back to watching Gammons burn in the sun (and not care!) π€£
While it freezes in Sunny Oldham, I've escaped to the sun in Fuerteventura. photos from part one of the holiday π
If you see this, post a robot.
@paulbaldowski.bsky.social wins the Internet today. Remember to use it responsibly π
A glimpse of the future at Manchester Airport earlier today π€£
This sums up my current befuddled state, courtesy of sleep deprivation + 101 things to pack before more sleep deprivation and early o'clock flight π€£
Me too, courtesy of sleep deprivation + 101 things to pack before more sleep deprivation and early o'clock flight π€£
Northern and Western areas, that would be the North West right? Good job I'm off to sunnier climes π€£
Warhammers coming!!!! π
Thanks to my players, Udo, Doetre, Chris and Lucy. And of course @roderihamilt.bsky.social and @thegrognardfiles.bsky.social organising π
Awesome afternoon out at #MorpCon yesterday in Manchester. Ran 13th Age 2nd ed, and it's smoother and more fun than ever. A game in my Mythic Cotsworlds setting, featuring a Knight's Tournament, Intelligent Monkeys, Tea parties, and a sorcerer missing on the Nightmare plane. Great silly stuff π
Alas they no longer make them
You are. While it was sat in Greater Manchester Police's Garage, they repaired all the damage done in the raid, plus some dents and scratches the wife had done. also it got a perfect interior valet, so all the crust of crumbs and rubbish as carpet, magically dissappeared π€£
Here's the news article about it! www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater...
Its even survived being stolen by ram raiders, who threatened pursuing police with an axe, before being recovered on my birthday (BEST PRESENT EVER) and was returned in better condition than it was before!
The first car I owned with the missus was a Fabia, which was completely rock solid. We only got rid of it to get a bigger "family car" and ended up with what turned out to be a complete lemon of a Ford SMAX. We ditched that for the wonderful Skoda Yeti, which we've had for ten years now.
(and yes I know I need to change the date on the cover image π€£)
That's it, the rough layout of Fantastic Odyssey's Issue 1 for #OpenQuestRPG and Basic Roleplaying is done. Time to let it rest, walk the dog, print it off and polish it. Should be with backers this weekend/early next week π
and as for the UK, my favourite is our system of parks - established by the Victorians, and gradually fading away due to underfunding. We've got lots of them here in Oldham, with Alexandria park in town haveing a website all of its own www.alexandra-park.com (check out the postcards)
If the idea of abandoned settlements blows your mind, don't look at US urban explorers' sites. There's a whole site of picture of abandoned Detroit, where they juxtapose the current state of public buildings with images of when they were being used. Haunted does not start to cover it.
Suffering a similar thing with the first game, which is absolutely lovely and play smooth, but I just want to run about like a loon shooting things (which is why Borderlands is my cuppa). I'm going to uninstall it and come back when I'm a bit more mature π€£
Why not, everyone knows Gammon comes from specially bread (with extra bile) white far right voters. Right? π€£
