and 2) take time to really really REALLY appreciate those times you've over come your frustration and really improved over time, and how in a year or 2, you'll look back at what youre working on right now and see your improvement bc you were able to tolerate that frustration and push on :-)

I dont really have a point, I just wanted to comment on this bc its something I really relate to, but I guess I do have 2 points. 1) frustration never goes away, its just part of the process, so find joy in getting over it and those moments where you feel you've, as the kids say, "cooked".

And sometimes I'll get down on myself and think I cant draw people anymore, but then I have to force myself to realize that I've come a CRAZY long way with not only anatomy but everything else in my art since I've started.

I find more things to be frustrated with. And its really hard to acknowledge your victories when you focus on that frustration. Like I ALWAYS focus SO MUCH on anatomy and figure, because thats one of the things I love drawing/rendering and observing in people's art.

I think about this a lot, but in the sense that its something you have to keep dealing with, again and again, you dont only need frustration tolerance for the beginning. I always felt like if I got good enough at art that I'd have to stop dealing with frustration, but as I improve more and more

working on a piece for a friend whose pet passed away a few weeks ago. Planning on finishing it up before thanksgiving and getting it printed and framed and handing it to him in person when i go to visit him.

I feel like I actually have a problem with too detailed sketches, it definitely looks nice but theres lots of areas where I feel like I could save time. Tho I guess part of me is worried I'd forget the detail I wanna add i guess its just note taking. Ive definitely been practicing rendering w/o them

Travis enjoys volunteering his time at the town fair's, though thankfully most of his job involves keep himself and others properly hydrated in the hot Texas summer.
