always a bit of a history buff and decades ago stumbled across some "instant" history books written about/during the pre-war period. my main takeaway was the number of events these books highlighted as important that were not considered worthy of mention in later texts.
There's a lot of rewriting of history about how nazi-curious a lot of the British upper classes were in the 1930s.
I wonder whatever became of the author...
