More remasters need to respect 4:3 aspect ratio though!!!

The original Tomb Raider is imo already perfect in its original state, but I've been enjoying seeing people talk about the remaster improvements for the sequels. Angel of Darkness especially.

As long as the remaster doesn't screw with the aesthetic, I like em for a replay. Especially jrpgs which are such time sinks. Like I don't think I'll ever play FF 7 - 9 on original hardware again. But I wanna have the experience that people at the time of release had the experience of!

I'm generally dubious of remasters but somebody told me the SaGa Frontier 2 remaster is just an all around upgrade, arguably even truer to the original because it restores unused content that was supposed to be in the game?

But still, I wanna experience it in its original state.

I'm so frustratingly close to finishing the audiobook. It's all small but tedious tasks left.

Unrelatedly I started reading a book today about an alternate world where falling in love with fictional characters is the social norm and it's considered weird to like real people and my first thought was "wow I should tell sadie about this"

What's that William Gibson quote about how in the future you have to be really technical to aspire to crudeness? kinda that. Modern game engines come baked in with a smoothness and polish that just don't allow for something as endearingly janky as Blue Stinger.

I've been playing the dreamcast survival horror game Blue Stinger, and it's weird and bad in a way I'm kinda nostalgic for. Obtuse goals, awful camera, nonsense plot, laughable voice acting, and obnoxious music. I can't wait to get home and play more of it!
