I don't think she's ever faithful, just suspicious and wants to find whatever truths there are buried in the texts.
She has a theory that some of the authors glimpsed and misinterpreted the future and the past.

My Lavellan kinda does actually. More in a "The Maker is probably just a spirit, and the belief probably created the spirit and not the other way around 🤔",
but there's def a period where the parallels the canticles have to her actual life are big sus and she investigates and chats with Leliana.

Lavellan, Solas, Dorian, and Cole are the "Shit, nobody here knows how to cook" party of malnutrition.

Surana and Hawke both I hc are almost always rolling with basically their entire posse regardless of the game's enforced party size.

Mercar I hc also has Bellara along for the ride usually.

Apart from plot-related substitutions and the fact I hc larger party sizes:

*Surana: Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana.

*Hawke: Varric, Carver(when available), Fenris, Merrill. Though this party mixes up a lot generally, go-to is kinda loose.

*Lavellan: Solas, Dorian, Cole

*Mercar: Neve, Lucanis

solas slutty wolf cloak appreciation post

I think some of it is in the presentation. Leliana's quest has a lot less to work with overall, but the way Justinia apologized/freed Leliana of her own accord (if only posthumously) was, I feel, more effective at conveying the right vibe than Mythal essentially getting bullied into apologizing.

Leliana and Justinia's whole deal sold the "it was kinda abuse but also really complicated from the perspective of both parties" that I think Solas and Mythal's was meant to be that but ended up feeling really one sided in the end.

Solas's issues with Mythal are just as clear and understandable...if you extrapolate Leliana's side quest onto them, because the games just don't really give you the same effort for him.

I felt Leliana's love for Justinia, and also her mingled anger at being used as a tool and pride in having been an extremely effective tool.
Her side quest sells the conflict she feels so fuckin well, in a way that makes either path she can end up taking seem perfectly reasonable and rational.

She even has the same "they were totally doing it" story beat and her response to the tasteless question is ✨perfect✨

I do wish they could have chatted about it. I don't really see a reason she'd have to mention it to him, and he obvs wouldn't be forthcoming at all, but maybe he could have learned some vicarious lessons if they had talked it over.

Thinking about how Solas's Mythal drama is kinda a reskin of Leliana's Divine Justinia drama.

I think Leliana's is more interesting, but it's also Leliana, it's not hard for her to stay winning.

Mostly yes, with the caveats that 1.Varric isn't officially a love interest and 2. Solas is prickly to everyone if he's having a big opinion so mileage varies a lot.
The only one who wouldn't is Neve, who has shown herself (reasonably so) to be a huge Solas hater. Everyone else she'd be fine with.

I think everyone and their mother was, at least for a time, sort of parasocially in love with Ellenere Lavellan at the height of her being Inquisitor, but that tempered once the fate of Thedas was less visibly on her shoulders.

I also think that if she had been a man, she'd have been with Dorian.

Shiran Surana had a crush on Morrigan that WAS requited, but she couldn't tell because Morrigan was so prickly. And then as Shiran and Alistair grew close and flirty, Morrigan would rather die than admit she shared a type with Alistair.

Hawke had a crush on Varric, which imo was secretly requited.

Probably unpopular opinion, but Living Memory should have only been turned back on temporarily.
It's a space for imaginary dead people that don't even inhabit it anymore, that nobody else visits. It's a pointless waste of aether.
The dead version had more vibes imo.

If they pulled a "you can start here, and here's a tldr of who you are/what you've done that the story will assume about you, and you can play that part of the story at you're leisure" it wouldn't be SO bad.

Obvs this is just ranting, SE hasn't said anything definitive of this nature and I'm just getting spicy over other players' assumptions.
I just really hate the topic.
