I’m very pro technology-as-tool and have allowed my kids to use screens most of their lives but very little about current AI tools feel remotely safe enough to put in the hands of children. And that’s without getting into how removing critical thinking processes could impact young brains.

I’m sorry, but if you let a young kid mess around unrestricted on these things you are absolutely parenting wrong.

I honestly suspected it was a game where you were *supposed* to fail and you'd just keep going on anyway and that would be part of the story

Yeah, that's what happened to me but with too many cheat days. In retrospect, I should've just started the day over instead of the chapter, I guess.

I keep having trouble with the lunch puzzles and hitting walls with the cheat days. There’s just so much to juggle on the SAT week.

I would’ve been happy with an option to keep going but hat tip the failure and more on. Instead, I’m back to grinding another hour of mini-games that are just barely enough for the game’s (really good) narrative.

Consume Me is a super interesting game but having to start an entire chapter over if you fail one of the chapter goals is brutal! Thematically appropriate but a little too much? It’s definitely sapped my motivation.

Yeah, I know there’s a decent chunk left for that but I am happy to feel released from the game’s grip. I want to start playing Consume Me!

I had so much fun in some boss fights knowing I was 10-15 hits away and just cheering for my little robot friends.

Small tip for folks struggling: track down the “drone” tool. That with venom is just ridiculous. You can do a ton of passive damage in later boss phases while just focusing on dodging and healing.
