Lioness, Zero Day, Homeland, House of Cards, West Wing just feels like rom-com for tech/political thrillers now. We can look at them and feel what the world should be like.

You’re rendering one character in an empty room. If that’s all that is needed, then any game could do that. Usually it’s not tho.

Having worked in film my 2 cents are that making a film is just sooo much less complicated. What’s in the (2d) frame is what counts. How you make a movie isn’t very relevant to how you make software.

I mean. It’s no excuse. I don’t expect any game buyer to accept a bad product or anything. It’s just the reality of game dev.

No matter how well we aim our 200 million dollar shot (or whatever it is), someone else that started a year earlier will release before us and possibly change the market. And thereby force adjustment. That’s not mismanagement.

Simplifying the reality of having to predict where technology is and what will be cool in 5 years down to mismanagement is a bit harsh I think.

Just as removing all UI don’t automatically bring ’immersion’ to a game. Having the player running in circles looking for the exit doesn’t count as ’exploration’.

I would have drawn the line at: Pay for ads presented to ppl who just bought the thing you’re selling.
…but hey I just make the thing.

AirPod case must be one of the worst designed cases for anything.

-Slippery and rounded. Prone to being dropped or fall out of pockets.
-Glossy and easily scratched surface, yet slides around like a bar of soap on everything.
