I'll say even if the demo had me wary with some of its changes (mostly gameplay-related stuff, the universal inventory I was particularly annoyed by lol) I did end up largely enjoying it so it's honestly sad to hear how much they ended up overcorrecting the problems people had with it originally

- the job system being introduced like 20 hours in which makes the combat dull early on, the gargantuan length). Personally if you care the most about experiencing the story I think the PS1 version is the way to go but I don't know how tolerant you are of 90s JRPG design lol

Be forewarned: this game was remade twice for honestly valid reasons. The 3DS version is as good a compromise as you can get but it still has issues on both ends, aspects of it were also needlessly trimmed down while keeping some of the originals' biggest points of friction (the bosses' balancing, -
