Thank you to everyone who joined us for yesterday’s event at St Philips Chambers. It was an incredibly successful morning, bringing together colleagues from across the family justice system to share insight and support one another in the work we do every day for children and families.

We represented our client in relation to a Belgian extradition request relating to a three-year conviction for people trafficking. Our urgent work with a Belgian lawyer led to the withdrawal of the warrant and our client's release being ordered.

We represented a prisoner in complex housing proceedings, leading to a possession order against an unauthorised occupier and the lawful surrender of the tenancy, preventing further rent arrears from accruing.

We represented a client charged with speeding who faced a six-month driving ban. Another penalty would have made her a 'totter' under the law. Following our submissions, the court found exceptional hardship, allowing her to keep her licence.
