I’m delighted to have given cover quotes for 2 very different bks recently…
1) #AnnaThomasson ‘s #AVastHorizon tells the story of Picasso, Lee Miller, Man Ray & their circle fm late summer 1937, layering real upon the surreal to build a fascinating portrait of art, war & life. Out next month :)

Thrilled to be speaking in this beautiful space, #ConvocationHouse, for the #OxfordLitFest 2pm, 24 March, about #AgentZo, a story of female heroism & achievement.
But you could get a ticket just to enjoy this room… part of @bodleian.ox.ac.uk, adjoining the Divinity Schl but 2 centuries its senior!

Privileged to give the inaugural Cambridge Uni Dept of History & Philosophical Science #InternationalWomensDay talk at @whipplemuseum.bsky.social on #MelittaVonStauffenberg & #HannaReitsch, the only women to serve the Third Reich as test pilots… who ended their lives on opposite sides of history.

Happy birthday Colin Bell, DFC, 105 today!
Joining the RAF at just 19, Colin served as a #WW2 Mosquito bomber pilot on 50 raids over Nazi Germany. 1 in 3 were killed on these missions that helped force Nazi Germany’s surrender...

Try London’s Polish Institute & Sikorski Museum, and Polish Underground Movement Studies Trust, the National Archives at Kew, & in the memoirs held by POSK in Hammersmith?

History's Heroes - Eglantyne Jebb Saves The Children - BBC Sounds How a woman’s arrest in Trafalgar Square changed the lives of children around the world.

Introducing the inspirational #EglantyneJebb who perhaps saved more lives than anyone in history!
Eglantyne was the passionate compassionate subject of my first book #TheWomanWhoSavedTheChildren.
