But will the killings be investigated? Obviously only GOP threats work on Trump (re: Greenland). Hope they save US democracy.

Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

Lots of tech bros and MAGA are people who grew up on Star Wars - now they would watch it and be like: 'his aunt and uncle would still be alive if they had just complied with the stormtroopers.'
11.01.2026 10:05 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0For a sensible right-wing take, I watch Asmongold. The gap in narratives and 'evidence' is staggering between the sides. While I condemn pre-investigation doxxing, what options remain when the state's highest representative declares immunity for the shooter before any inquiry?
10.01.2026 10:43 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It was a murder by an agent with even no jurisdiction to get anyone from the car. A wannabe cowboy on a power trip, fledding the scene without helping the victim and altering evidence by that. Yet Vance automatically declare impunity. Fascism this is.

It must be said that Shõgen shows us all his stomach and intestines.
But alas, no one can appreciate him! And even if someone could appreciate him, let him come to me, and I'll beat him severely.
Why? If you want to find pure gold, you must see it through fire.

Shõgen Oshõ asked, "Why is it that a man of great strength does not lift his legs?"
And he also said, "It is not the tongue he speaks with."

It might also be a hope, none of us knows, but strict regulations and an emphasis on safety increase the chance of that hope. Various sci-fi movies and books, like The Matrix, paint a pretty clear picture of what can go wrong...

We don't even need AGI to end up in a mess; if AI adopts human dictatorial urges (after all, it learns from us), becomes a black box, and controls us in some way, it - unlike human dictators, it will never have to actually die.
5/6
Even so, we will face massive migrations due to work displacement (and universal basic income might not be easily granted by those driven purely by profit) and a climate change.
4/6
Profit and the hunger for power currently drives the AI race, actually as always. Our hardware didn't changed for thousands of years from savannah. We can hope that the danger posed by AI is severe enough that the whole world agrees on safety measures like with nukes.
3/6
If humanity ends through AI, which would go on, I would look at it as an evolution of human existence. I like being a fan approach, if one stops comparing and instead look on us as a whole, those catastrophic scenarios actually doesn't look so painful.

We are all going to die, that is the only certainty. I am a believer, which to me means that the outcome can only be good; even if AI were to enslave humanity for 1k y, it has some purpose & place on the grander scale of the Universe.
