Agreed. Also the actual quality of officiating is clearly better - it's night and day compared to the EPL officials. I'm genuinely embarrassed at who we send over to officiate in European games, and they're meant to be the elite. In the EPL, the worst ones seem to be allowed to do VAR bizarrely.
Re: Tarkowski, I don't agree with placing the blame squarely at Tierney. The EPL decided to unnecessarily follow cricket up a blind alley with its referee's call. It absurdly has made VAR exist to protect the referee on the pitch as opposed to arriving at the correct decision. #lfceve #lfc #fpl #epl
