It was back to school for First Assistant Sheryl Prichard, only this time as the expert at the front of the class! 📚 Sheryl was invited to her alma mater Miami University to speak with Pre-Law students about the Prosecutor's Office and her work.

Our team had a blast at the Fall Connection Fair last week! Community partners came together to share resources and Halloween fun, with candy, raffles and a costume contest. It was a fun way for our team to educate on Ohio crime victims' rights — all while dressed as Morticia and Wednesday Addams!

Join the Franklin County community next Thursday for the All Hands On Deck Community Reentry Fair at the St. John’s Learning Center! More than 25 reentry, employment, housing, and healthcare providers will be on site to offer real-time assistance. The event is free and open to all!

Troy Locke, a Columbus drug dealer whose actions were deemed an “insidious example of profiting at the expense of others," was sentenced to at least 112 years in prison. He was found guilty on 13 felony drug-related charges after a six-month investigation that involved the rare use of a wiretap.

We were honored to attend the Move the Box expungement clinic today! Attendees were able to start the process of getting their low-level criminal record expunged and truly start fresh. By removing the box that asks about a criminal record, we open doors to work, housing, stability, and dignity.

Megan Farley, Director of the Grand Jury Unit, participated in a panel at the Ohio Center for Law Related Education's annual mock trial conference. The conference was a great opportunity for educators to hear from experienced advisors and learn how to put things into practice with their students.

A Franklin County jury found Jaheym Cheeks, 23, guilty of of five felony charges, including Aggravated Murder and Kidnapping. In 2022, police were dispatched to South Terrace Avenue and found Brylan Butcher, 14, dead from a gunshot wound to the head.

Last week, we were honored to attend the CATCH Court graduation! CATCH Court is an innovative program that offers women previously trafficked into prostitution a way to turn their life around without going through traditional criminal justice measures.

We had a blast at MOMCC's Fall Family Fun Festival! It was a great way to get the community together for a day of positivity and fun. We loved being able to connect with our youth and educate them on the dangers of guns, drugs, and cyber bullying.

For the first time, the tenth District Court of Appeals held oral arguments for two cases off-site at the OSU Moritz College of Law, giving law students an invaluable experience and a true taste of a day in the life of an attorney.

Anthony Davis, 25, was sentenced today to life in prison with the chance of early parole after 41 years for four counts of murder, one count of aggravated murder, two counts of felonious assault and one count of inducing panic.

Franklin County to host workshop for suspended license reinstatement Workers at the Franklin County Municipal Court Clerk are preparing for an upcoming workshop aimed at helping individuals with suspended driver's licenses.
