I was glad to spend some time celebrating moms at the Mother’s Day Brunch at the Reeb Center today.

The Trump administration is gutting funding to address homelessness because cities aren’t in lockstep with the President’s extreme agenda.

We’re fighting back and urging the Court to strike down these unconstitutional mandates that would hurt the most vulnerable in our society.

As proud as I am to be City Attorney, the most important title I’ll ever have is “Dad.”

As a member of the Catholic Church, I pray that they embrace this opportunity and choose a pope who can fill this leadership void and be a voice and vision for justice, peace, growth, compassion and a better world.

As Church leaders gather in the coming days to begin the process of choosing the next pope, they will be doing so during a time of significant global uncertainty and division, a time where leadership rooted in kindness, humanity and unity is sorely needed and craved.

Pope Francis was a wonderful leader of the Catholic Church, doing his best to push the church forward and focus on the Judeo-Christian values we hold must hold dear—caring for the poor, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, sheltering the homeless, and welcoming the stranger.

Efforts to make it harder to keep tobacco out of the hands of teens and overburden law enforcement is a bad idea, plain and simple.

I’m committed to defending the rights of cities to pass and enforce laws that keep our kids healthy and safe.

One of my favorite things about being City Attorney is that no two days are alike.

Here’s a glimpse into my life, from taking my kids to school and hitting the gym to speaking with police recruits, mentoring my Big Brothers & Big Sisters little, and going to work for you.

The City Attorney’s Office took to the streets today, picking up trash along Cleveland Avenue near New Salem Baptist Church and doing our part to help keep Columbus beautiful on this beautiful, sunny day.

Government works best as a true collaboration among residents, community leaders, and elected officials.

A child is fighting for his life because a dog owner failed to secure his dangerous animals. That’s inexcusable.

My office will prosecute this case to the fullest extent possible and continue to advocate for stronger state laws to hold problem dog owners accountable.

US judge bars Trump administration from cutting NIH research funding A U.S. judge Wednesday blocked President Donald Trump's administration from carrying out steep cuts to federal grant funding for research that universities and Democratic-led states warn would lead to layoffs, lab closures and a curtailment of scientific and medical studies.

We recently signed on to an amicus brief to oppose the Administration’s planned cuts to federal research funding that would impact our hospitals and public health.

I’m pleased that today a federal court ordered that this critical funding must continue while the case proceeds.

Columbus still pursuing lawsuit against Hyundai, Kia The city remains in litigation alongside other communities and insurance companies.

Last year, car break-ins were one of the only categories of crime in Columbus that increased. 📈

We’re not letting up on our litigation to hold Kia and Hyundai accountable for producing millions of vehicles lacking industry standard antitheft technology.

Domestic violence is the most serious crime my office prosecutes.

We’re not letting up on our aggressive approach to prosecuting these cases. We’ll continue to do everything we can to support survivors and get violent abusers off our streets and behind bars.

I had the pleasure of participating in a panel discussion about gun violence prevention today hosted by Ohio State’s Department of History.

I’ll continue to use the full breadth of my office to do everything we can to keep our kids and communities safe from gun violence.

Tonight, we heard from neighbors, community leaders, and the Division of Police about some of the challenges facing the Linden area and recommitted to working together to ensure safe and strong neighborhoods.

I had the privilege of speaking to my son’s fourth grade class during their annual trip to the Statehouse today.

It was great to see these young people’s curiosity about the law and public service!

Neighbors were rightly fed up with the crime and deadly violence taking place at 1298 E. Hudson St., and now, thanks to the work of the Property Action Team and CPD, this property is shut down—and the residents and families of Linden are safer for it.

Investing in domestic violence prevention and support for survivors is important for so many reasons, including our economy.

My office prosecutes thousands of these cases every year and we’ll continue to do everything we can to support survivors and hold abusers accountable.
