I mean, not really? There's not such thing as a few key precincts. Want to close all the polling place in Madison, Wisconsin? That's still over 100 polling places. How many federal agents do you think it takes to close 100 polling places?
The vast, vast majority of the United States votes on paper ballots.

It's less accurate and will take longer, but us election administrators will hand count if we don't have machines.

Nathaniel is, of course, correct, and if anyone thinks 10,000 separate election jurisdictions will simply decide to violate their own state and local laws and not hold elections because President Trump says so, you have never talked to a county clerk.

I will reiterate my controversial take on this that Congressional pay is way too low, and the only way to combat this is to raise it by like 3-4x.
I'm a successful lawyer with a varying income and in a typical month, I make more money than my congressperson.
I could not afford two households.
But the current salary makes it almost impossible for those who aren't already rich to serve in Congress.
Attendance awards (especially in elementary school) are so dumb. Not getting sick (or going to school sick) doesn't make a kid more deserving of fun.
I get lots of people hate FSAs but I find them useful. I can budget for contacts, prescriptions and deductibles that way.
