We don't state our names or relationship to one another. So I'm pretty sure that's doxxing.
Not anymore. I was banned for reposting it despite the fact that I'm not named in the article. In case you're concerned about fairness. There's no rule that suggests this was inappropriate.
Again, this doesn't feel relevant to New Westminster or its municipal politics. If there is a legitimate argument that Fontaine is not actually Métis and does not deserve status, that's for the MNBC to determine.
Status is determined through a thorough family records check. It's not just handed over. So if you feel he's not Métis, then you are saying that even if you think you're not.
Here's my issue: the way this reads, if I can be frank, is of asking for his "papers". I think you can quibble with Fontaine's politics all you like, but this crosses a line for me. But if you're not Métis, and this has nothing to do with the choices he makes at City Council, what is your concern?
So you're accusing the MNBC of giving someone false status?
I'm just confused about how that relates to his status as a Métis — which isn't being challenged by the article you posted. He's filed a human rights complaint, but no one is suggesting his status is illegitimate.
Why does he owe that to voters?
I don't share Daniel's politics, but I've found this thread uncomfortable to say the least. Questioning an Indigenous man's status and calling up Métis organizations feels a bit like doxxing and harassment from where I'm sitting.
I saw everyone saying, “Hey the Neil Gaiman expose is really harrowing”, so naturally I shrugged those warnings off.
And, uh… however bad I thought it would be, it’s much, much worse.
Sending love to all of his survivors — particularly the ones who still struggle to think of themselves that way.

Here's the thing about the Blake Lively drama. I think it's something many women who've worked in male-dominated fields can relate to.
Blake lively is probably not perfect. She probably has flaws. Maybe she spoiled. Maybe she's a bully. Maybe she's tough to work with.

I’m ambivalent about the nurse Hannah drama as a whole but my word some people better prepare to lawyer up if they want to make these kinds of accusations without hard proof

What specifically bugs me about students using AI to cheat is how uncreative it is at being lazy. I got through four years of English class never reading a single book, and I didn't need AI for that. You need to practice your bullshitting at an early age if you want to thrive as a lazy adult.

Been doing that for at least a week for me.

I mean the options here are that the root joke is mired in misogyny, transphobia or homophobia so it’s kind of all bad.

Advice for parents: don't buy the ball pit. Don't do it. There's no amount of enjoyment your kids could get out of it that would make it worth it. Don't buy it.
