The problem with any ways of spotting gen AI is that the LLM has taken all of the things humanity has written and smooshed them together, looking for the most common/correct patterns.

This is an important article, especially as the mainstream media in the UK frequently reports that everything is fine and transgender people are just making a fuss.

When you're sending out an email to all members, celebrating an important victory, it feels like using AI to write that email robs us of all the humanity and work that real people have put in.

We're already members, so there's no need for perfect marketing copy.

Please just be authentic.

These checker services aren't always correct (they sometimes flag professional writers for not making mistakes), but they're a decent fallback check.

In her presentation, Kilgannon mapped out three non-negotiables in the fight against the so-called gender identity agenda, a conspiracy theory touted by anti-LGBT groups that disavows sexual orientation and gender identity. The first is to “divide and conquer. For all its recent success, the LGBT alliance is actually fragile and the trans activists need the gay rights movement to help legitimize them.” In other words, separate trans activists from the gay rights movement, and their agenda becomes much easier to oppose. As Kilgannon explained, “Trans and gender identity are a tough sell, so focus on gender identity to divide and conquer.” For many, “gender identity on its own is just a bridge too far. If we separate the T from the alphabet soup we’ll have more success.” Kilgannon identified a wide coalition of potential allies outside the Christian Right who could confront trans friendly measures. Here’s her advice on how to draw them in: Explain that gender identity rights only come at the expense of others: women, sexual assault survivors, female athletes forced to compete against men and boys, ethnic minorities who culturally value modesty, economically challenged children who face many barriers to educational success and don’t need another level of chaos in their lives, children with anxiety disorders and the list goes on and on and on.

And there are cis people out there who still think the anti-trans movement was somehow a natural, grassroots expression of legitimate issues.

The EHRC has met regularly with transphobic hate groups over the last five years but not once with any trans-led organisations.

It is neither an equalities nor a human rights organisation, it is a transphobic hate group.

I did offer him a way for the character to continue play, but as the player put it - it's the point of flaws, eventually they kick in.

I'll miss the quirky druid, but I'm also really looking forward to meeting his new character as we approach the mid point of the campaign.

The character was undergoing both the Aberration and Primordial transformations (yeah, I know the rulebook says only one but this worked well), so had a flaw that meant on death he was taken to the elemental planes, so there was no body left to resurrect in any way.

For reference, I used the Beast Pool mechanics to activate Magical FLux and spend 4 dice for the counterspell. It felt like a cool use of them, as my players are always wary whenever they see the beast pool start to creep up.

Narratively a great ending to a big, two-session combat scene, leaving the characters standing in mud, in a thunderstorm, missing their friend.

It's a Grim Hollow campaign, which is dark fantasy with a horror vibe, and that was session 77.

He described the necromancer's death and a vortex of necromantic energy clawing out, destroying the remaining undead in the battle, as the necromancer's essence fought to survive somehow (and maybe it did, making them a powerful enemy).

I did similar at the end of the battle, when another player's paladin took down the necromancer in style—I handed him full narrative control of the scene, to use his imagination.

Again, I was not disappointed.

It worked really well in the context and, as GM, I didn't have much to add, other than to answer questions from other players, "Can I save him with <x>?" etc.

He described how the character lost control of the transformations he was going through, with an aberrant symbiote (think like Venom) ripping out of his body to tear the Shadow Assassin apart in rage, before being dragged back into the decaying primordial body that crumbled to dust.
