The EU has the moral duty and responsibility to let in all the Russians that claim to have no moral duty or responsibility for their country's invasion of Ukraine. Did I get that right?
"We will defend every inch of NATO territory!"
Except, apparently, for all the inches Russia chooses to sabotage.
Seeing how seemingly every Russian out there is now busy finding reasons why the "dictatorial EU" should make it easier for them to get visas, maybe we should start lining out the reasons why the EU should not.
This is just one of the many reasons why Russians should not get EU visas.
In November, China reduced its purchases of Russian oil by a rather impressive 36%, replacing it with crude from Saudi Arabia.
Similar drop is expected to take place in India next month, with the country's top 5 refineries having already rejected Russian oil for December.
No, your account was frozen for a whole variety of both practical and moral reasons, and if this and other measures like this get Ukraine even an inch closer to victory, they will be prioritized over the comfort and convenience of nationals of the aggressor state.
While I am as thrilled as the next man by the idea of ingesting longevity elixirs ordered from Temu, worth waiting for someone to survive the refund window before placing an order.
The Russian manufacturer Baikal Electronics, which has been ‘experimenting’ for three years with the production of advanced processors, has now announced that it has pretty much given up on the idea, mostly on grounds of having no clue of what they're doing really.
Enraging and incredibly fascinating to see this ability the Russians have to blame anyone and everyone for their failure to create anything but demented dictatorships ruled by psychopaths.
Anything at all the Russians are responsible for and guilty of Mikhail?
I just decided to get back on Bsky. The cover up felt the most authentically Russian part indeed.
Thank you! Planning to be active here as well from now on.
You just have to give it to them, they've really built a robot in their spitting image.
Rather telling how you can just guess which country I’m talking about without me having to say it.
How utterly surreal that the President of the United States and the First Lady are each currently running their very own cryptocurrency scams.
Not an inch. Not a step. Not as long as we draw breath.
In today’s #vatniksoup, I’ll introduce a Romanian politician and conspiracy theorist, Călin Georgescu. He’s best-known for his pro-Kremlin and conspiratorial views, running for president of Romania, and doing it by only campaigning on TikTok.
1/25
Last night, the pro-Russian Calin Georgescu dropped the act and began issuing threats and ultimatums on prime-time TV:
"Tell the young people now in the city squares to go home to their parents, we don't want anything to happen to them, something really bad to happen to them."
Yep!
BREAKING: Starting tomorrow, TikTok will likely be banned in Romania for "failing to comply with the regulations for the conduct of the electoral process".
The "Supreme Council for National Defense" has the following members:
BREAKING: Romanian President has convened an emergency meeting of the Supreme Council for National Defense of Romania.
The first picture, taken during the 1989 Revolution, reads "our children will be free". The second one, taken yesterday, reads "your children ARE free". And they will stay that way.
POLITICO: TikTok CEO summoned to European Parliament over role in shock Romanian election.
"Romania is a warning bell: Radicalization and disinformation can happen all over Europe with catastrophic consequences [...] We call on the CEO of TikTok to come to speak in this house."
We do, at a scale I can't believe myself. The scale of the mobilization is beyond incredible. There's even hordes of people joining every social platform there is to fight his bots.
Romanians are taking to the streets in various cities across the country to send a clear message to the openly fascist pro-Russian candidate: "better dead than fascist".
Expect these demonstrations to spread and grow exponentially every day until round 2 of the election.
I will own my mistake. When the first exit-poll came out, seeing how many votes he got, I got curious and looked him up. Only then I realized the extent of the catastrophe. An overwhelming sensation of shame and guilt took over me. I was ashamed to tell anyone who it is I just voted for.
I heard his name somewhere on TikTok at some point, something about how decent and well spoken he is. For some reason, call it TikTok brain rot, I voted for him - despite knowing essentially nothing about the guy. I have no excuse, not trying to take this into the realm of "conspiracy theories".
"I voted for Calin Georgescu. I am ashamed and disgusted by myself. I went into the voting booth planning to annule my vote as I didn't like any of the traditional candidates and parties. When I opened the ballot, I took a glimpse at the list of candidates and noticed Calin Georgescu there/
Many of the people that voted for the pro-Russian Calin Georgescu are now coming forward and virtually all of them are saying more or less the same story - one I think you should very much give a read to. 🧵
