Finally finished Expedition 33, and like a lot of people are saying it's definitely a top game this year. Still going to take a long time to get through post-game content but in the meantime it's time to start gearing up for speedruns! It's refreshing to be excited to run something new.

Watched a Hollow Knight TAS today and for the first time since 2017, when I bought the early access for the game, I learned that you could dash downward with the dashmaster charm.

I played the Dark Souls 2 randomizer and thankfully was able to finish, despite 3 Sinh's as the Smelly Lords, I played DS1 after to "refresh" myself. Way less fun. Your first souls game sticks with you but DS2 is just better overall despite the hate. Fuck Blighttown. The Gutter is easily better.

I feel like it kinda sucks to say, but #Xenogears was not my cup of tea. I was just thinking today how despite how I think that I like JRPGs, playing old classics might not be my speed anymore.

Skyrim's Skill Leveling is obviously inspired by FF2's leveling system, so if you enjoy Skyrim but not FF2, you're a hypocrite.

GF got us tickets to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra tonight and it was completely different than what I had in mind. Definitely not a yearly event, but still, absolutely wild. We were giggling at the the sheer wild stuff happening and this little girl in front of us gave us the stink eye, hilarious.

Game Awards was a bit of a slog but well worth. I can easily say that Astro Bot seemed like a good return to form and what the games industry needed after these past few years. Fun game with a lot of nostalgia that just gives you a good time and makes you feel good loving games.

Well, after a very stressful 24 hours, the new PC build is finally up and running. Ended up being the RAM that I was already concerned about getting for some hearsay I saw on Reddit indeed has issues with my build, but I still tried nearly everything else before doing a simple swap. 🙃

Not some super flashy new upgrade for my PC but enough to make streaming newer games a little less burdensome.

I finally caved and bought a Bluetooth adapter for my PC to get rid of my annoying 6ft cable that I bought for $3 years ago. And now for the past few weeks I'm having more problems with SteamInput and controller layouts than ever and it's driving me absolutely insane.

Finished my "All Cards" speedrun of Final Fantasy 9 last night in under 17 hours! What a mess, but it was a ton of fun and goofy the whole way through the game.
