COVID is what I always think of when I hear smell/taste loss, but I know a couple people who had those symptoms and tested negative for COVID multiple times.
Apparently other viruses like colds and flu can cause that, but I had never heard that until recently.

He's a chronic liar, sure, but he also can't help but to constantly say what's supposed to be the quiet part out loud and I think this is what that was.
He literally can't believe that he'd be allowed to cause that much pain in an emergency, but not also be allowed to do something like the tariffs.
One thing I find interesting is that I don't think people are understanding the thing about Trump saying he can destroy other countries quite right.
Used properly, the IEEPA *is* designed to give the president limited powers to really put the hurt on a country doing something the US doesn't like.
