Kansas requires IDs to vote, but 1,700 trans residents just had their IDs revoked Kansas has required people to show proof of identification in order to vote since 2012. A new law threatens that ability for 1,700 residents.

The state turns IDs off to revoke fundamental rights and access. Essential services and rights -once freely available- are increasingly being made conditional on digital IDs: banking, driving, voting, mobile communication, university, hospitals. Then the state turns IDs off.
