Kentucky, we’re expecting severe weather tomorrow, with thunderstorms and heavy showers and the possibility for strong winds and hail in the north central and northwest regions of the state. There is also a low risk for a tornado west of I-65. 1/2

Today, Gov. Beshear announced that Kentucky placed in the top five for economic development projects per capita in Site Selection's 2025 Governor’s Cup. Kentucky has held a top-five ranking during all six years of the Beshear administration.

Today, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that his request for the Louisville area to be removed from the federal RFG program has received approval from the EPA, which should result in lower gas prices for residents. The change is set to take effect May 27, 2026.

The Kentucky Supreme Court sided with our people, public education and the law today by ruling that the 2022 Republican-led House Bill 9 allowing charter schools is unconstitutional. Taxpayer dollars should stay with our already underfunded public schools, and now they will.

Last night we lit the Mansion blue to raise awareness around a rare disorder known as Angelman syndrome. By educating others, we can help increase research and support for those affected. When our neighbors face challenges, we must stand together and show them they are not alone.

I am a proud pro-union Governor and that ain't changing. These leaders deliver good pay and benefits for our workforce, supporting families across our commonwealth and country. It was great to shake their hands and thank them for all they do at the annual Working Families Dinner.

Last week we honored families impacted by Congenital Heart Defect – the most common birth defect, which takes the lives of too many children of God. To these children and families: You are brave, you are resilient, and Team Kentucky will always stand ready to support you.
