Kentucky, severe weather is moving across the state and continuing through this evening. We’re already seeing tornado warnings pop up in some western counties. Please remember to have your weather alerts on today and a plan to shelter if needed. 1/2

Kentuckians across the state agree: Pre-K for All needs to be funded for our kids, our families and our businesses. That was made clear in Ashland and Fort Mitchell, where local officials, parents and business leaders all called on the General Assembly to take action and fund pre-K.

There is a potential for severe weather on Saturday, with a line of heavy rain, thunderstorms, gusty winds and hail moving across the state. There is an increased risk for flooding in the west, and storms are tracking stronger for the northeast region. 1/2

In just the first two months of 2026, we’ve announced 18 projects totaling $1.4 billion, with more than 1,100 new jobs set to be created. This year is starting off strong, Kentucky!

Kentucky, we’re expecting severe weather tomorrow, with thunderstorms and heavy showers and the possibility for strong winds and hail in the north central and northwest regions of the state. There is also a low risk for a tornado west of I-65. 1/2

Today, Gov. Beshear announced that Kentucky placed in the top five for economic development projects per capita in Site Selection's 2025 Governor’s Cup. Kentucky has held a top-five ranking during all six years of the Beshear administration.

Today, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that his request for the Louisville area to be removed from the federal RFG program has received approval from the EPA, which should result in lower gas prices for residents. The change is set to take effect May 27, 2026.

The Kentucky Supreme Court sided with our people, public education and the law today by ruling that the 2022 Republican-led House Bill 9 allowing charter schools is unconstitutional. Taxpayer dollars should stay with our already underfunded public schools, and now they will.

Now, there’s an opportunity to do even more if the General Assembly passes my $75 million proposal to help at-risk Kentuckians afford their utility bills. 2/2
