My first thought was a Tolkien name but she is 100% a Fuchsia Groan
She didn’t sweep the chimney well enough! Punishment was required!
SHE SHOULD BE USED TO IT SHE’S BEEN AN ORPHAN SINCE BEFORE SHE WAS BORN
Irma god

When you call one of Senator Adam Schiff's local CA offices and he starts droning on, wait until he says "I got a few options for ya" and hit THREE.
That transfers you to speak to a live human being instantly. (You might be put on hold, ofc).
Just press 3.
Fuchsia, literally a foot away, going one minute without scritches: I am so abandoned. Unloved. No doorstep will shelter me. Every puddle I would drink from is but shallow mud. In food there is no savor; in the sun itself, only shadow
D&D elves: lol you die?? You die of old age?? After like 70 years? Lmao. You're like vermin to us. You're like a shitty animal

I am normal and can be trusted with literary guest status
post-ECCC is asking what top three literary guests I'd want to see next year, should I put my own name in
"But I don't know what to nomi—" Let me stop you there. We built an entire resource for this! It's free and operates as both a rec list and a second brain for remembering stuff you read/watched/played a year ago. #HugoAwards
wanna be a cowboy, baby

I like a lot of moments in it, but it's definitely the unfavorite
It works a bit better for me when read as part of LOTR as a whole, rather than as a section of the rising action chopped out and sold separately, but it's still a chore
the shortest post yet because for whatever reason I don't actually like this part of the book
NOOOOO
reminder that I'm still eligible for the Astounding Award and By-the-Bywater is eligible for best fancast
