Happy birthday to ME (this comes out the day before my birthday)
WHY WOULD YOU NAME IT THAT AND NOT THEME IT AFTER DISNEY ADVENTURE
ICYMI: in our new paper, we contend there is "no current consensus on a definition of sex that is free of assumptions and limitations... and most importantly,...no biological definition of sex should be used to dictate human rights" #evolsky #LGBTQSTEM #ecology #evolution #biologicalsex
aw YEAH, GOG AGOG
If you’re waiting for an order from my store, I’m still trying to figure out what’s wrong with my label printer/stamps.com/computer in general. As soon as I get this shit figured out all the orders will out out I promise.
WAIT I LIED!! I forgot I also have this photo of him on my wall. He was a very patient cat.
Despite what his face looked like he was a very sweet and affectionate cat and he dutifully followed me around the woods as I poked things with sticks and looked for cool rocks.
I grew up in the late 80s/90s in an isolated river valley in rural Missouri where cats just kinda showed up outta the woods and you would feed them and maybe they’d come back every day. The idea of “maybe we should take him to a vet for his eye problem” was never even considered, sorry Crusty.
This is the only photo I have of the cat I grew up with. His name was Crusty because his eyes were crusty and he was a million years old his entire life. He wasn’t allowed inside because he was gross but he ate all the rats around the property and I loved him dearly.
I'm a little later than I usually like to be for merch club reveals, but ECCC really messed up my scheduling! These will be made similar to how the bugbear talismans were made, but will be 1.25"x2" pins!
the Skin Deep Merch Club is currently open to new members all through March! If you pledge now and stay on through May, you'll get these two art deco bas-relief pins in May! I'm still finalizing the designs, but here are mockups! www.patreon.com/posts/patreo...
Yea I kinda combine real thumbnails with the pencils! I need to actually draw down the thumbnails on paper or else ill get lost in the weeds of individual pages
Usually I just need panel shape and number and a general “talking heads go here” but these are too vague even for me lol
Oh! of course!!!
okay well i'm ready for the "later" stage now, seeing as the "survive this" stage has lasted fully half my life.
20 years of comics, folks. I’m a professional.
“Time to look at my script and thumbnails so I know what my next pages will look like, boy I’m so glad I thumbed these out before I even started the comic” I say like someone who remembers what the fuck any of this means
Imagine the art that would be made if we weren’t all scrabbling to survive
Remember when people used to be all “hard times creates great art” because no actually it’s just this.
I've got 8 pages left on the current Skin Deep chapter. I will be taking a short hiatus for the chapter break, but good news is I already have the final script for the second chapter so the hiatus won't be long. More just like a breather for me.
I'm back from ECCC and it's time for another page of Skin Deep! Today Michelle learns that she might be a college dropout but she's still gotta study. www.skindeepcomic.com
“What if it was daring and brave to be as mean and petty and hateful as possible and never rest until the whole world is as miserable as I am”
I’ll never understand the pure daily misery these chuds must feel if “getting yelled at for saying slurs online” is what makes them happy.
We’re so old….
I’ll never be so nostalgia-pilled that I’ll call the 93 Mario movie was “good”, but it’s definitely unique in a way you don’t see too often outta theatrical movies anymore and also John Leguizamo is there.
Also look at yoshi
The 90s Mario movie has been made fun of since it was released and I’ll never say it’s a good movie but it sure is a trip to watch. You simply do not find this level of inscrutable wacky fantasy worldbuilding in movies these days.
I’m glad I got to do it like two times before it went belly-up. What a show.
I remember finding them stuck in “questionable books” in the Borders when I was in college. Remember that one time at APE where he was actually tabling??
