I loved the first one a bit more than the second one but both are good!! It’s so so unique I’ve never seen a book like it

Uketsu’s first two books were some of my fav crime books I’ve ever read! He uses pictures and diagrams on almost every page and it kinda feels like you’re solving it yourself. So unique and fun!! Excited to try samurai detectives too cuz apparently it’s historical fiction

can’t wait to read Uketsu’s third book, loved his first two! and I’ve heard great things about samurai detectives. this was a great Japanese crime fiction haul 💛 #booksky

read a short novella today of a man in a hell modelled after the library of babel and it was so weirdly hopeful in a defeatist and depressing way? I can’t explain it it felt like a ted chiang story in the best and bleakest way possible. save time to stare into distance after it

The Adventure of Amina Al-Sirafi was by far my favourite book I’ve read this month. It’s so fun, full of emotion and adventure, and well researched folklore and history of the Arabian Sea maritime industry in the 1200s. the tie-in to her Daevabad trilogy was so fun #kikireads #booksky
